Our students participated in our Annual Elocution Contest today. This contest is a public speaking competition, where students take turns speaking to large groups of observers. Each classroom teacher, Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, chose a poem during the early weeks of October. Each student memorized their poem and dictated is in front of a panel of judges A First, Second, and Third place winner was awarded in each grade, and all First Place winners will move on to the Elocution Contest Finals which will take place on January 31, 2020.
First Place winners will pick a poem or speech of their choosing and present it to the entire school where two winners will be awarded.
